OOTD: Office Chic (Houndstooth)

Outfit of the day time (OOTD). Here I am rocking my d.i.y. houndstooth shirt. I must admit, I was feeling myself that day :)

DIY: Houndstooth Shirt

So this is my first official post. Yay! Lol. 

I love houndstooth clothing. To me, it just exudes an air of class and elegance. Unfortunately, I didn't have anything with this print in my possession and I was desperate for something with it. So when I stumbled across some houndstooth printed fabric in a fabric store, I just knew that I had to purchase some.

 I decided that I was going to make a shirt to wear to work. So I purchased a half yard of  houndstooth fabric and got down to business. I used a shirt that I liked and drew a pattern from it onto newspaper. I then cut out the pattern and placed it onto my houndstooth fabric. Once this was done, I cut out the pattern onto the fabric and sewed the pieces of fabric together. Ta-da!
